Managing Patients with Brain Tumours

How to provide the best care for your patient with brain cancer

Comprehensive and practical educational sessions, held over two evenings, for advanced trainees to learn about the multidisciplinary approach to clinical management of primary brain tumours.

Evenings of:

  • 30 Jan 2023 6.30 - 9.00 PM
  • 31 Jan 2023 6.30 - 9.00 PM

Please note you must be able to attend both evenings, in person.

As you embark on your oncology career, you will inevitably treat patients with brain cancer. What do you do? How do you ensure the best possible outcome for the patient?

You may not have had much exposure to neuro-oncology during your training rotations. This event, part of the VCCC Alliance Future Leaders in Oncology Program, aims to equip you to treat these patients confidently.

The sessions for advanced medical, surgical and radiology oncology trainees will be held as dinner events over two consecutive evenings to provide comprehensive and practical education and tools for the clinical management of primary brain cancers.

What you can expect at the sessions
  • Review of evidence base for optimal patient management
  • Discussion of common clinical issues in brain cancer and how to manage these
  • Education on diagnosis and investigation of patients with primary brain cancer, surgical management, post-operative management and recurrence, and associated problems.
