Reference Management and Software

VCCC Alliance Nurse-led Research Hub Workshop

Nurses who work with people affected by cancer, and who have an interest in building their clinical research skills are invited to attend a practical workshop that will provide an introduction to reference management and software.

Reference management is an important element of conducting a literature search. There are several products that can be used to record, save and sort references, document notes and insert citations into your papers.

Facilitated by Geoff Hill (Clinical Librarian, The Royal Melbourne Hospital), this session will discuss the role and benefits of reference management and present Zotero as a freely available tool.

Geoff Hill

Geoff Hill is a clinical librarian at the Health Sciences Library at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. He provides support to evidence based practice and research for all staff of The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Women’s Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Victorian Mental Health services. Prior to becoming a librarian Geoff worked in allied health for many years.
