Research Translation Showcase Symposium

Delivered by experts actively working in the translational and commercialisation space, this high calibre symposium will showcase the successes in translating research.

Join us for the first translational research symposium hosted by the VCCC Alliance and led by Associate Professor Kara Britt.

Held at the University of Melbourne’s Woodward Conference Centre via a hybrid model of delivery, the symposium will introduce researchers and clinicians to the wealth of research translation and commercialisation success stories from VCCC Alliance members and the rest of Victoria. Attendees will be invited to consider how their research can be translated to the clinic and ultimately improve cancer outcomes.

An inspiring program will explore lessons learned and practical advice drawn from success stories in the research translation and commercialisation space. Attendees will hear real-world examples of engaging with industry, developing research projects and collaborating with business development offices, encouraging you to think more strategically about how to progress to real world success.

Speakers will discuss topics including:

  • How to design a research project with translation and commercialisation in mind
  • Learnings about commercialisation, business development and translation
  • Understanding how to pitch to industry
  • How and when to interact with regulatory authorities

The forum will be followed by networking and drinks at the Woodward Centre.
