This year's conference program is likely to be the most extensive yet and will cover a wide range of disciplines and types of cancer research. All postdoctoral researchers working in cancer, from biology, translational research, molecular pathology, bioinformatics, stem cells, epigenetics, clinical trials genomics, immunology and psychology are encouraged to submit your work.

Free, full day program and networking event

The full day, free event will feature plenary speakers from a variety of cancer research fields and career levels, including Associate Professor Alex Swarbrick from the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Dr Jess Holien from St. Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research, and Dr Andreas Behren from the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute.

Indigenous opportunity

Symposium organisers are keen to see abstract submissions from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers.

Conference convenor, Dr Dale Garsed, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, says, "This year the symposium will be held at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, an organisation that has a clear and stated goal to support the career development and progression of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers. In fact, applications for Indigenous Visiting Research Fellowships through Walter and Eliza Hall are open now - closing this Friday 13 March 2020."

The abstract submission form for the Postdoctoral Symposium is available on our website and applications must be received by Friday 20 March 2020.
