Upskill with a free VCCC workshop

If you haven’t attended a VCCC professional development workshop you are missing out on a great opportunity to keep pace with leading-edge practice. In most cases workshops are free for VCCC member staff and are designed to enhance your existing knowledge by introducing the latest practice, evidence and ideas in cancer care and research.

Attendees at a recent Clinical Research Design workshop commented,

“The whole workshop worked really well with talks being broken up by group activities. Loved all the teachings. Anita and Ken were fantastic running the day and very engaging. Prof Julie Simpson and Dr Marian Todaro were also great speakers and I learnt a lot from them.”

“Presenter was engaging. Topics very useable in supervision. Highly recommend A+”

Workshops coming up in the next few months include:

Cancer Supportive Care workshop for nurses
The Supportive Care in Cancer Refresh Project, led by the University of Melbourne has delivered a suite of contemporary consumer and clinician friendly resources to address the current variation in access to and knowledge about cancer supportive care across Victoria. Come and hear more.

It will explore beyond the simple how-to of statistical testing to delve into the underlying concepts and rationales for hypothesis testing.

Clinical research design workshop

Writing a conference abstract workshop for nurses
The ability to write a conference abstract is a useful skill. All nurses who have or are considering submitting an abstract for a conference are encouraged to register for this afternoon workshop coordinated by the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Nurse-led Research Hub.

Workshops are promoted weekly via VCCC's e-link newsletter on a weekly basis or check out our Events page on our website.
