Study Coordinator intern induction

Internship program contributes to clinical trials workforce development

The VCCC Education and Training team has joined with APR.Intern to deliver a Study Coordinator internship. Eight Study Coordinator interns have now been placed in clinical trial units across Victoria to gain on-the-job experience.

To start, the interns participated in a two week induction to understand the basics, including trial file management with the Parkville Cancer Clinical Trials Unit (PCCTU).

Providing a pathway to clinical trials

The SKILLED internship program provides a pathway for students to build role-specific clinical trial knowledge, experience and skills in a clinical trials unit. Interns gain on-the-job training with VCCC alliance partners and collaborators in metro and regional locations.

  • Acceptance is dependent on university qualifications
  • Interns will be provided with a two-week induction prior to placement
  • Interns will be paid award rates
