We are looking for regionally-based consumer representatives to join the Consumer Reference Group. This is an opportunity to work together with other consumers through sharing lived experiences to inform improvements in genomic testing and equity of clinical access.
The Personalised Cancer Care program, as part of the Strategic Program Plan 2021-24, aims to influence the integration of genomics and/or immunological tests (molecular tests) into routine cancer care, reflecting advancements in research and technology that provide deeper analysis of cancer and appropriate therapies.
A Consumer Reference Group as part of the program will support the work of the Personalised Cancer Care program by advising on planned activities. More specifically, there is a unique opportunity for Consumer Reference Group members to:
We are seeking motivated cancer consumers* from regional Victoria with:
* Cancer consumers are patients, families, carers and other support people. It includes in a broad sense anyone affected by cancer.
All meetings will be offered online and held as required (1-2 times per month). Members will work together between meetings with the Program Manager and Consumer Involvement Manager to progress consumer-led initiatives.
