VCCC Alliance Health Equity Advisory Group - members sought

A new VCCC Alliance Health Equity Advisory Group is being established as an initiative of the Strategic Program Plan 2021-24. Members are now being sought from a range of backgrounds to assist us in our goal to improve equity in cancer outcomes.

The Equity Advisory Group will provide high-level expertise and strategic direction to the VCCC Alliance Health Equity Program on development and implementation of strategies to address inequities in cancer outcomes across Victoria. The group will also be an expert resource for VCCC Alliance members to draw on in developing their own strategic equity initiatives.

About the opportunity

We are asking people to self-nominate for the Equity Advisory Group. We are interested in any relevant clinical, allied health, science, community development, research, community leadership, qualification, experience or skills.

Equity group members may have consumer and/or lived experience within a health system or service, including but not limited to: personal experience of inequities; experience of addressing inequities; experience of supporting or advocating for others experiencing inequities.

Specific experience of inequities in access and treatment of cancer is desirable but is not essential.

Applications close at 5.00pm Monday 13 December 2021.
