Leadership and Scholarships
The VCCC Alliance aims to build networks of knowledge and expertise to tackle the most difficult cancer research, education and clinical challenges.
Leadership and scholarship opportunities are offered for those who wish to develop their skills to support the efforts of the alliance. Successful applicants are individuals who aspire to work collaboratively within the alliance and other domains for better cancer care outcomes. Some current programs include:
VCCC Alliance Leadership Development Program
This program is offered annually for senior clinicians, researchers, and clinician scientists from within the alliance who are looking to develop the skills needed to become an effective leader in a complex, collaborative, multi-partner environment.

Victorian Consortium for Health and Biomedical Research Development Program
This four-day leadership course provides specialised skill development in managing and leading research teams. It has been designed specifically to help senior post-doctoral researchers transition from team member to team leader.

Picchi Award for Excellence in Cancer Research
Supported by the Picchi Brothers Foundation, the VCCC Alliance awards up to three $10,000 prizes annually to recognise excellence in cancer research amongst the top PhD students within the alliance. The awards celebrate high-performing students with the hope of inspiring and encouraging the next generation of cancer research leaders.
