Consultant Radiologist, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and Eastern Health

Dr Beverley Woon is a Consultant Radiologist with subspecialty expertise in breast and lung imaging. She believes that our health industry is a reflection of our broader social views, whereby culture and governance are intertwined. It is her firm belief that positive, sustainable change will be reached when both culture and governance are addressed together.

Dr Woon has appointments at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, St. Vincent’s Hospital BreastScreen and Eastern Health. She is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Melbourne and was a member of the Monash University Medicine, Nursing and Health Services Placements Advisory Board. During medical school, she was awarded a John Flynn scholarship, and from this, gained experience in rural, island and refugee medicine at Christmas Island. In 2021, she was a panel member for the play “Grace Under Pressure”, at Monash University, where she advocated for the need for change in our health systems and work culture. Dr Woon is passionate about her clinical work and teaching. She is a collaborative researcher, with recent projects in dual-energy CT and radiomics.

Outside work, you’ll likely find Bev with her family and dog, in their veggie patch, helping things grow.
