Dr Mandy Truong

Dr Mandy Truong is a Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Family Studies working in the Child and Family Evidence team. She is also Adjunct Research Fellow at Monash Nursing & Midwifery and an Honorary Fellow in the School of Medicine at Deakin University.

She has extensive research and teaching experience in the areas of cultural competence and cultural safety in healthcare, health equity and migrant health, racism and anti-racism in the health system, and family violence.

Mandy has experience conducting qualitative and mixed methods research with children and adults from diverse cultural, religious and linguistic backgrounds. She is also a registered Optometrist with over 17 years of clinical experience.
