The VCCC Alliance is pleased to present this comprehensive survey response to Cancer Australia’s 2024 public consultation on the National Cancer Data Framework. As a collective-impact organisation, we have drawn together the insights of clinical teams, academic researchers, consumer advocates and data specialists to develop clear, evidence-based recommendations.
Our proposals are designed to enhance data integration and interoperability, embed equity and Indigenous Data Sovereignty, close critical gaps in early-pathway information, and establish robust, user-centred governance and accountability mechanisms, ultimately to drive better outcomes for all Australians affected by cancer.
