Symposium: Optimising Multidisciplinary Care for Melanoma Patients

This symposium will bring together key opinion leaders in melanoma from around the country and the world. They will review the incredible progress in melanoma treatments and explore pathways for translation of research into clinic for novel therapies, and treatments in locoregional melanoma.

A line-up of expert speakers

The full-day program will provide an overview of the significant transformations that have occurred in the melanoma field over the past 5 years, spanning adjuvant and neoadjuvant strategies, translational research, and the integration of combination therapies. There is also a focus on better understanding the mechanisms of treatment response. Speakers include Dr Charlotte Ariyan, a world-leading melanoma specialist travelling from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, USA.

Invaluable consumer input will be provided throughout the development and planning of the program. Consumers may also be involved as presenters and panellists. Expert presentations and discussions will:

  • Investigate changes in the standard of care and guidelines related to adjuvant and neoadjuvant interventions in melanoma
  • Assess the impact of neoadjuvant therapies on patient outcomes and long-term survival rates
  • Provide an overview of the advancements in translational research within the melanoma field
  • Explore the clinical implications of the identified changes in the melanoma field, including their impact on patient care, treatment decision-making, and overall prognosis

Networking Dinner

Join us for a three-course dinner on the evening before the symposium, Thursday 18 April, 6.30–9.30pm at Graduate House, 220 Leicester St, Carlton. Foster existing connections and new collaborations with delegates from a wide range of melanoma-related disciplines. Tickets are available for purchase as an add-on when you register. You may also purchase tickets to dinner if not attending the symposium.
