Award categories

  • VCCC Alliance
  • Outstanding Leadership by Example

    This award recognises an individual with positive influence, commits to their own personal development, has strong ‘people-building’ skills and sees possibilities through the introduction of innovative practices and getting things achieved.

    • Not related to role, classification or rank; but occurs when people make deliberate choices to effectively guide and nurture and invest in others.

    The award presentation will occur at the 2023 VCCC Alliance Research Conference dinner. The awardee will receive a gift card worth up to $500.

  • Outstanding Team Leader

    This award recognises an individual who exemplifies significant leadership skills such as the ability to lead and guide staff, develop staff talents, and successfully manage an efficient and effective unit, team or organisation at the highest level. They promote teamwork and collaboration and have worked to improve their unit, team or organisation.

    The award presentation will occur at the 2023 VCCC Alliance Research Conference dinner. The awardee will receive a gift card worth up to $500. 

  • Outstanding Change-maker

    This award celebrates the impactful work of a team in cancer clinical care, research or education to achieve better patient outcomes.

    The award presentation will occur at the 2023 VCCC Alliance Research Conference dinner. The team representative will nominate three team members to attend the award presentation. The winning team will receive a gift card worth up to $1000.
