The new role of Business Development Manager has been created to take the Centre for Cancer Education (CCE) to the next level by developing the plan and future pipeline for the sustainable growth of the CCE, in liaison with key stakeholders.
As Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding the reach and impact of the CCE over the next, formative 12-month period, with a future view to ensuring the CCE is on track to achieve its vision and mission in a sustainable manner.
Your success in this role will be achieved through your expertise in business development processes including a background in complex stakeholder consultation, particularly as it relates to a professional education and/or healthcare setting. Working collaboratively with a thoughtful teamwork approach will be your natural strength, enabling you to work effectively with VCCC Alliance staff, the University of Melbourne partners, alliance members, affiliate partners, consumers, and external stakeholders across the cancer sector, as required to progress the growth of the CCE.
As one of the leading sources of education and training for the broad, multidisciplinary cancer workforce across Victoria, the Centre for Cancer Education aims to improve patient outcomes by providing exceptional educational experiences and fostering a future-ready workforce.
The VCCC Alliance Centre for Cancer Education has been developed in collaboration with the University of Melbourne and provides a globally accessible digital platform that offers evidence-based, multidisciplinary educational programming. The programming aims to improve patient outcomes by providing platform to support the professional development of healthcare professionals, cancer researchers and consumer (people affected by cancer) advocates.
Over the next 12 months, you will be responsible for:

Despite having some of the best cancer outcomes in the world, cancer remains one of the leading causes of death and disease burden in Victoria. The VCCC Alliance is a joint venture of academic, research and clinical member institutions working together to change that.

Through the VCCC alliance we are collaborating and working to improve systems and educational offerings in cancer research and prevention, to accelerate the translation of scientific evidence into better outcomes for all people affected by cancer across Victoria.
The VCCC Alliance has a 3.5-year agreement to mid-June 2024 with the Department of Health to develop and implement new and innovative cancer research and treatment programs under an agreed Strategic Program Plan, also working toward a new plan to take us beyond 2024.
