EOI: Host a SKILLED Intern in 2026

The VCCC Alliance has established clinical trial internships to provide a pathway for science graduates into the highly competitive clinical trials field. The 24- and 40-week Clinical Trial Administrative Officer and Study Coordinator program include a one-week intensive orientation followed by on-site placement and competency-based training in metro and/or regional locations to build role-specific clinical trial knowledge, experience and skills.

After such a strong pool of candidates applying for the 2026 SKILLED Internship program, we are re-opening the Host Site Expression of Interest looking for more sites to host our highly ranked Clinical Trial Administration Officers and Study Coordinators interns.

Becoming a host site

Expressions of Interest are open for clinical trial units Victoria-wide looking to bolster their capacity through this cutting-edge internship program. As a SKILLED host site, you'll gain a dedicated Clinical Trial Administrative Officer or Study Coordinator intern for the duration of the on-site training program and directly contribute to strengthening the future of clinical trials in Australia.

Further information

Clinical Trial Administrative Officer (CTAO) intern cohort 
The CTAO internship program will be conducted over 24 weeks, with a one-week orientation commencing Monday 2 February 2026.

Academic entry level requirement: Science – Honours students/graduates and above.

Study Coordinator (SC)
The SC internship program will be conducted over 40 weeks, with a one-week orientation commencing mid-February 2026.

Academic entry level requirement: Science - Masters graduates and above
