As an alliance of 10 research, academic and clinical organisations, the VCCC Alliance supported by funding from the Victorian Government, continues its ground-breaking work developing and implementing innovative programs aimed to improve outcomes for patients with cancer.
The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Alliance is working towards implementing a patient-partnered cancer research program across Australia. The program will be modelled on, and strongly aligned with, an existing international patient-partnered cancer research project. Working directly with patients, the program will combine patient-reported data, clinical data, and genomic data to create a unique, anonymised dataset which can be shared to accelerate cancer research internationally.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and developing all aspects of the program’s data management and preparing for later project launch. You will work closely with our data collaborator to collaboratively develop the detailed plans for the technical infrastructure required to support the collection, secure storage and curation of participant data, as well as the management of project workflows, communications, and sample tracing.
This position is being offered as a part time (0.5FTE), 6 month contract, linked to current program funding.
The Health Data Lead will work collaboratively with external stakeholders to assist in the development of proof-of-concept technical infrastructure and evaluation of functionality, alongside planning for the full infrastructure build. Key responsibilities will include:
