The Regional Partnerships Implementation Manager is a newly created role which is primarily accountable for liaising and providing a central point of contact between the cancer centre regional partnership officers and the VCCC Alliance. In this role, you will implement processes to ensure continued engagement with key programs of work, including establishing and formalising a communication pathway for connecting and sharing resources and supporting the VCCC Alliance to undertake an evaluation of the partnership.
Aligned with current program funding, this is a part-time opportunity through to mid-2024, with a possible extension dependent on future funding.
Improving cancer outcomes in the regions is listed as a key component of the 2020 Victorian Cancer Plan and is also a Strategic Goal of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC Alliance). As a part of VCCC Alliance’s Strategic Program Plan (SPP2021-2024), an investment of $3.15M over 3.5 years will be made to support a program of work known as Program 7: Fast track innovations in regions with the poorest cancer outcomes. Program 7 aims to improve cancer care in the regions, with a particular focus on improving access to clinical trials and further developing regional partnerships to determine and support projects, ensuring equitable access to innovative cancer care.
This project will operationalise a Collaborative Model for Regional Health Services to formally link with the VCCC Alliance and will provide Regional Collaborative Partners with formal access to programs of work supported by the SPP 2021–2024.
In this role, you will support and coordinate the Regional Partnership Officers in operationalising the Partnership Agreement between the VCCC Alliance and Victorian Regional cancer Centres. You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the regional partnership officers to conduct an educational needs analysis and scope the cancer centres potential to implement VCCC Alliance activities and programs of work. The Regional Partnerships Implementation Manager will work in close collaboration with VCCC Alliance staff and Cancer Centre staff to develop and formalise a communication pathway. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing a community of practice for the regional partnership officers and coordinating collective effort to develop projects aiming to increase clinical trial participation in regional and rural Victoria.
You will be a proactive and highly motivated individual, with a strong understanding of barriers to healthcare in regional areas. A natural collaborator, you will use your exceptional interpersonal skills to facilitate communication between the VCCC Alliance and our regional partners, with the objective of meeting and exceeding the requirements of our Strategic Program Plan.
