Do you like to think about new and better ways to do things? We are recruiting now for people who are passionate about teaching and learning and want to shift from accepted ways of working to creating something new and exciting.

New, key roles are currently being advertised to join the Master of Cancer Sciences team which is creating one of the world’s most innovative online learning programs. The environment is multi-disciplinary and collaborative excellence is the benchmark.

Since the graduate course got underway in January this year, a huge cast of more than 140 researchers, clinicians, consumers and educators from within the alliance and broader networks have contributed to the development and delivery of the program.

“We are incredibly excited about the content we are building for the Master of Cancer Sciences with terrific interviews, great interactive content and some brilliant animations."

Kirsten Fairfax, Subject Development Coordinator, Drug Discovery and Development says, “We are incredibly excited about the content we are building for the Master of Cancer Sciences with terrific interviews, great interactive content and some brilliant animations. One of the challenges we face in Australia is converting our brilliant academic publication output into commercial discoveries. In Drug Development and Discovery, we will walk students through the whole drug development pipeline, and provide them with an understanding of the drug development process so they will be well-positioned to be able to commercialise their own discoveries.”

Subject tutor Dr Julia Kwon endorsed the opportunity to be involved saying, "Cancer education has always been an interest of mine, from teaching and examining medical students from the University of Melbourne to presenting at patient forums and teaching nursing and allied health colleagues.  When the opportunity arose to help develop the Cancer Therapeutics subject, I jumped at the chance!"
