The program is highly recommended

Professor Sue-Anne McLachlan secured a place in the program in 2019. Professor McLachlan is Director of Oncology and Cancer Services at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and leads a team of oncologists striving for new breakthroughs in cancer treatment.

“I highly recommend the Looking Glass Experience program,” she says. “It was a career defining experience for me. The program was highly practical, and evidence based. It was intense and challenging. The coaching staff was engaging and always supportive.

“One of the best aspects was meeting other participants from a broad range of industries and learning from them. I made close connections which have continued beyond the program. I now find myself thinking often about what I learnt and applying aspects in my work roles.”

“… it was a career defining experience for me.”

Learn how to lead with an enterprise-wide perspective

The five day program was designed by the Center for Creative Leadership and shows how to progress from everyday management tasks to impacting your organisation as a whole – from making tough calls and trade-offs to considering organisation-wide opportunities and bridging gaps that limit growth.

The program is particularly valued by the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre as some of the learning attributes are relevant to the collaborative aspects of an alliance. Participants in the course learn how to strengthen and deepen relationships to bridge differences and build strategic ties. Participants will also be exposed to collaborating cross-functionally.

Applicants need to be available 4-8 May 2020 inclusive and must attend all five days. See the VCCC website for more information regarding the program or contact Erin Turner, VCCC Education Program Coordinator on 8559 8584. Applications are due by 5.00pm Monday 9 March 2020.
