Priyanka Vithanage is a PhD candidate in the Department of General Practice and Centre for Cancer Research at the University of Melbourne. Her research project aims to examine the diagnostic intervals, identify the predictors of diagnostic delays and survival outcomes in haematological malignancies using linked datasets from primary care and cancer registries. She completed her Master of Laboratory Medicine at the RMIT University in 2010 and since then working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Department of Haematology at the Dorevitch Pathology. In 2022, she completed her Master of Cancer Sciences in University of Melbourne and was introduced to linked hospital datasets during her research capstone project.
