Priscilla Gates completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2022 and her thesis explored cancer-related cognitive impairment in patients with newly diagnosed aggressive lymphoma undergoing standard chemotherapy.
She is currently a research fellow at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Deakin University, with her current post-doctoral research focusing on cognitive rehabilitation interventions for people experiencing cognitive changes after treatment for aggressive lymphoma.
Priscilla has extensive experience in haematology nursing, focusing on autologous transplantation and survivorship.
Her passion is to improve outcomes for people with cancer and runs several funded research projects. Priscilla has published peer-reviewed journals and received many awards and prizes for her contribution to cancer nursing research.
