This online education resource is designed for novice cancer nurses and nurses caring for people affected by cancer in non-specialist cancer settings. It is made up of six evidence-based modules, each of which focuses on a specific aspect of cancer care, providing essential knowledge on each topic.
In this course, healthcare professionals working with individuals affected by cancer will gain the essential knowledge and skills to effectively screen for, discuss, address, and document the supportive care needs of cancer patients.
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of research – what each nurse needs to know to influence and contribute to evidence-informed practice change. Developed by the VCCC Alliance, the scenarios and examples provided are cancer-related. However, the knowledge gained, and skills developed can be applied to any clinical setting.
Informed by the NEAT-CARE study, this resource provides practical guidance to enable nurses to utilise the NEAT in their clinical practice.
