Registry-Based Clinical Trials Protocol Development Workshop

Registry-based trials are a relatively new trial methodology that combines conventional trial methodology with a clinical registry to answer real-world clinical questions. These trials have the ability to enhance representation and access for participants, especially in rural and regional areas.

But how do you turn an idea into a registry-based clinical trial protocol? In this comprehensive workshop, equip yourself with the key skills and knowledge required to successfully develop a quality protocol specific to a registry trial from start to finish.

What are data registries and how do they tie into registry-based clinical trials? How are registry-based trials different to conventional clinical trials?

In this workshop designed specifically for researchers and clinical trials staff, get a comprehensive overview of registry-based clinical trials and have your questions answered by leading experts in the field.

Expert speakers will cover a range of topics throughout the workshop, including registry design, ethics, budgeting, surgical oncology studies, radiation oncology and biostatistical considerations.

In this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Explore what data registries are and how they tie into registry-based clinical trials.
  • Compare the difference between conventional trials and registry-based clinical trials.
  • Consider the application of the methodology behind registry-based clinical trials, and workshop these in real-time.
  • Consider how consumer input can shape a registry-based clinical trial protocol to meet patient needs and standard of care.
  • Discuss how potential ideas can be developed into a protocol for a registry-based clinical trial.
  • Network multidisciplinary professions across the registry-based clinical trial industry.
  • Critically reflect on what further knowledge and considerations are needed to further develop an idea into a registry-based clinical trial protocol and ensure it is feasible for registry trials.

At the end of the workshop, participants will have had the opportunity to review the elements required when considering the development of a registry-based clinical trial and workshop their ideas with experts in the field.

Note: travel scholarships are available to promote regional and rural attendance at this workshop. To be considered, follow the prompts and tick the relevant box when you register.
