Clinical trials can provide a fulfilling career path with a diversity of roles linking science, commercialisation and innovative patient care.

The VCCC, with the Parkville Cancer Clinical Trials Unit (PCCTU), has created a clinical trial pipeline to train Clinical Trial Assistants and Study Coordinators so that motivated and talented individuals can immediately step into key roles.

One hundred per cent of Clinical Trial Assistant interns who participated in the SKILLED Internship Program in 2019 were fully employed in the clinical trial sector in Victoria a month after completing the program.

Applications are now being sought for Study Coordinator Interns to join the program commencing in February 2020. Positions are available to Victorian-based scientific post-doctoral graduates who have completed their PhD thesis in the last two years.

The 40-week internships are suitable to candidates interested in gaining the requisite knowledge and skills to contribute to the clinical trials workforce. Interns will be provided with a comprehensive training program and expert mentoring to competitively position them for an ongoing role in the field.  Successful applicants will be supported to refine their Clinical Trial Study Coordinator skills with the aim to being job ready at the conclusion of the program.

Don’t miss out! Applications for internships Monday 18 November, 5.00pm. Full details can be found on our Opportunities page.
