The VCCC Alliance is delighted to announce South West Healthcare (SWH) as the latest regional cancer centre to sign on as a Regional Program Partner.
SWH is the fourth major regional cancer centre to sign on as a Regional Program Partner, following Albury/Wodonga Health, Bendigo Health, and Grampians Health. The partnership will create a formal link between the VCCC Alliance and SWH, enabling access to a range of programs and initiatives supported by the VCCC Alliance, including cancer research, clinical trials, and education and training opportunities
The Regional Partnerships project has been established to strengthen regional cancer services across Victoria. The initiative is focused on enhancing cancer care and research in regional areas through joint efforts and collaborations, and the new partnership with SWH marks a significant step in the VCCC Alliance's ongoing efforts to improve cancer care in regional areas.
Dr Lea-Anne Harrison, Regional Innovations Program Manager, said the new partnership was another major coup for the budding initiative. "We are delighted to welcome South West Healthcare as our newest Regional Program Partner. The partnership will help us to enhance cancer care and research in the region and bring new opportunities to improve outcomes for cancer patients.”
“We look forward to working with South West Healthcare and welcoming even more regional cancer centres to achieve our shared goal of improving cancer care and research right across Victoria."
