AWARD CATEGORIES

  • Les Leckie Lived Experience Leadership

This award recognises the contribution of an individual (or a group) who has drawn on their lived experiences. They are role models who drive innovative change and champion meaningful engagement — shaping practices and amplifying the voices of people with lived experience of cancer across research, education, and clinical care. This category is open to people with lived experiences only.

  • Outstanding Leadership by Example

This award recognises an individual with positive influence, commits to their own personal development, has strong ‘people-building’ skills and sees possibilities through the introduction of innovative practices and getting things achieved.

    • Not related to role, classification or rank; but occurs when people make deliberate choices to effectively guide and nurture and invest in others.
  • Outstanding Team Leader

This award recognises an individual who exemplifies significant leadership skills such as the ability to lead and guide staff, develop staff talents, and successfully manage an efficient and effective unit, team or organisation at the highest level. They promote teamwork and collaboration and have worked to improve their unit, team or organisation.

  • Outstanding Changemaker

This award celebrates the impactful work of a team in cancer clinical care, research or education to achieve better patient outcomes.

Nominations close 5.00pm AEST, Monday 15 June 2026.
