Online Teaching Assistant: Cancer Survivorship for Primary Care Practitioners

Teaching Assistant, casual role for four weeks during teaching period (3 October - 28 October) at an approximate time commitment of 3-5 hours per week, plus two weeks' access for learners to 11 November.

tWe require a casual Teaching Assistant in the Cancer Survivorship for Primary Care Practitioners subject to support a group of national and international online students.

Overview

The role will involve familiarisation around content, announcements, online invigilation of the student discussion fora, consultation and monitoring of student engagement, evaluation and quality improvement activities.

Required availability

The dates that the Online Teaching Assistant is required are Monday 3 October to Friday 28 October 2022. The individual will also need to be available for a reduced time commitment outside of the scheduled course run to the close of the course (Monday 31 October to Friday 11 November).

About the subject – Cancer Prevention & Control

The Cancer Survivorship for Primary Care Practitioners Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is a fully online four-week part-time course offered jointly by the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) Alliance and the University of Melbourne (UoM). Designed for primary care practitioners, including General Practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals. The Cancer Survivorship for Primary Care Practitioners program has been developed through stakeholder contribution, including VCCC alliance partners, affiliated organisations and consumers.

The program adheres to best practice survivorship care and intends to establish:

  • An awareness of cancer survivorship
  • The importance of a shared care model
  • Benefits for the patient and healthcare system
