David Kok

Associate Professor David Kok is the joint course convenor of the Master of Cancer Sciences and Chair of the VCCC Alliance’s Cancer Education and Training Advisory Committee. In these roles, David drives VCCC Alliance member contribution and collaboration and leads an internationally renowned education team to produce innovative, sector-leading learning materials.

The Master of Cancer Sciences is Australia’s first cancer-specific, wholly online degree, delivered by world-class experts from the VCCC Alliance and Australia’s leading university, the University of Melbourne. It includes immersive, fully animated videos, VR simulation and interactive scenarios.

A radiation oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Associate Professor Kok also serves as Director of Peter Mac’s Moorabbin Campus and the Director of Education for Peter Mac’s Department of Radiation Oncology.

He is the chief investigator on numerous clinical and translational research trials and has published many articles relating to best practice in oncological care and contemporary medical education methods.

Associate Professor Kok is a member of the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG), Melanoma and Skin Cancer Trials (MASC), the European Society of Radiation Oncology (ESTRO), and the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE).
