CDK4/6i are known to modulate the immune microenvironment and to induce senescence in preclinical models. In this Breast Cancer Grand Round, hear about Dr Dixon-Douglas's project, which evaluates transcriptomic and epigenetic modulation after short-term CDK4/6 inhibition in patients with previously untreated, early-stage hormone positive, HER-2 negative breast cancer. Unravel interactions between CDK4/6 induced senescence, immune-modulation and treatment response. She will present key findings from this ongoing project and share other highlights from her experience at Gustave Roussy.
A recipient of the Breast Cancer Trials International Fellowship grant in 2023, Dr Julia Dixon-Douglas recently returned from Institut Gustave Roussy in Paris, France, where she spent two and a half years working in translational research as part of her PhD, as well as working with the multidisciplinary breast service at Gustave Roussy and contributing to their liquid biopsy precision medicine program.
