Cancer researchers, clinicians, policy makers and people with lived experience are set to benefit from a workshop hosted by VCCC Alliance, Omico, and COSA exploring practical ways to make precision oncology more accessible throughout Australia.
From Roadmap to Realisation: Advancing Genomics in Cancer Care is a pre-conference workshop to be held at the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) Annual Scientific Meeting in Adelaide in November.
The national event will look at what’s working, what still needs to be done, and how collaboration can help deliver the benefits of genomics to all communities.
Speakers include Prof Vivienne Milch (Cancer Australia), Tiffany Boughtwood (Australian Health Genomics Commissioner), and clinicians and researchers from Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, University of Melbourne, Omico, Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute, and more.
The program will feature presentations and discussions on:
The afternoon session will feature the Practical Genomics for Oncology workshop, originally developed by the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance and proudly presented with its permission by the VCCC Alliance, providing a hands-on learning experience to support clinicians to interpret genomic testing results, make informed referrals, and integrate genomics into their daily practice.
Whether you work in research, policy, or patient care, this event offers an opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute to the next phase of Australia’s genomics journey.
