The VCCC Alliance is committed to accelerating new drug discoveries into clinical use through early-phase clinical trials to benefit patients with the greatest need.
The Early Phase Clinical Trial Protocol Development Support project will support the development of trial designs for novel therapies and a new generation of clinical trial investigators.
The Hub has a resource that supports early to mid-career researchers and emerging clinical trialists in establishing research studies and trials across the VCCC Alliance member organisations. For patients, this will mean better, increased access to novel therapies through more clinical trials.
Emerging trialists and researchers need specialist support and mentoring to guide them through both the trial design process and applying for ethics and funding. Investigators from member organisations and regional partners can apply for support to develop concepts that assess novel therapies, through early-phase investigator-initiated trials (IITs), into protocols.
The Early Phase Clinical Trial Protocol Development Support enables emerging trialists to pitch early ideas and refine these through peer-support workshops, access to biostatistics, and protocol writing with IQVIA.
